Title: A Tale of Two Sonnys
Summary: Sonny Corinthos and Sonny meet. GH/Crowbar verse.
Note: This kinda sucks, I'm sure. I am writing it at a really early hour in the morning and I haven't slept, but WHATEVER. I wanted to do something instead of sitting here awake, and I just... started writing so yes. >>" <3 It's short... and weirdly written and yeah.
Sonny Corinthos didn't know what to expect when Luke Spencer told him about the Crowbar... run by another guy named Sonny. If he didn't trust Luke (and trusted him for some time), he might be more hesitant on the subject, certainly more hesitant about actually meeting the guy.
However, it's Luke Spencer that's telling him these things, and he says it's important. He says it's important in a way that leads Sonny to believe that it actually is important, not another Spencer-made scheme, not about money, not about revenge. It's something more.
So against the advisement of most of the people that work for him, Sonny Corinthos agrees to meet Sonny (No Name) at the location of his choosing. Sonny (No Name) insists that it's important to meet there and not anywhere else. Jason can come with him but no one else. Sonny (No Name) claims he's coming alone, and Luke vouches for him so Sonny Corinthos agrees.
"You come into Port Charles. You tell me that you're not going to threaten any of my businesses... any of my areas of interest," Corinthos says, and he is standing on the pier where this man said he'd want to meet. "I appreciate that. Because Luke put in a good word for you, I'm even willing to believe it."
"You should believe it, because it's true," No Name says, and he isn't looking at Corinthos or Jason but at something behind some boxes as if he's waiting for something to pop out.
Sonny Corinthos is put on edge a little by this, but he won't show it because he's establishing his power right now. "So why did you need to meet with me? Common courtesy? I need to know."
"Some of what we'll be doing, it's things you'll hear about. I wanted to let you know what's going on so you wouldn't blow a fuckin' gasket or something, not knowing what's going on in... quote unquote your town," No Name says, and he finally does throw a look over at Corinthos and Jason who has been standing, silent, as stone cold as ever in between them both.
"I... appreciate that too," Corinthos says, but there's suspicion in his eyes. "I think."
"And I wanted to meet with you, because you need to know what's goin' on in your fuckin' town, and I'm willing to show it to you. You're not gonna believe it at first, but when you do start believin', you look me up. I'll explain it all to you." No Name steps forward, pushing the boxes aside that had been blocking their view of whatever it is No Name had been waiting for.
Jason moves to pull out his gun. Corinthos steadies him with a hand.
What lies behind the box is nothing like anything either of them have seen before, and they have both seen quite a bit.
It's a swirling... something suspended in thin air.
"Don't get too close," No Name says, and he tosses one of the boxes in, and the swirling something spits it all back out like it's a wood chopper. Those pieces of wood mostly land on No Name, but he doesn't seem to notice. Maybe it's just he doesn't really care. "That's what it'll do to you if you fall through it so watch your step."
"Hate to ask a question when I feel like there's not going to be an easy answer, but I'm going to have to. What is that?"
"It's a one-way portal from fucking anywhere, any universe, anything imaginable to here." No name pauses, and there's a bit of a thin, tired smirk. "There's those disbelieving faces I was waiting to see. Look, Port Charles is not gonna be the fuckin' place you remember it as for much longer cause of those... whatever you want to call 'em to make you handle the news better. I'm showing this to you, because I know what they are, I know the kinds of people that come in when you've got a mass of those in your city, and I know how to deal with it all. I'm showing you why I'm indispensable to the city, no matter what I might get involved with even if it's chasing the coat tails really closely of something you've got your hands dipped into."
Corinthos does not look happy, but again, No Name doesn't seem to notice... or care. He stretches his hand out to the other, and reluctantly, Sonny Corinthos shakes the offered hand. He is still staring at the swirling vortex in the air in front of him, and Jason is staring with that silent, unending intensity of his that... doesn't look very different from any of his other expressions.
No name makes a sound that's almost like laughter, and then he starts to walk away.
"Hey, where are you going?" Sonny Corinthos is not happy at all. He isn't used to some outsider coming in, showing him something new in his own city, and then walking off again. It feels like a threat even if it isn't. "I'd still like an explanation for this. I have questions."
No Name doesn't even look back. It's like he expected to be called after.
"And I'm not willing to hear them until I know you'll believe the answers."
